A Small Farm, Tended with Care

We're a family farm nestled near Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We keep bees, raise hens, and sell direct to our neighbors — the way it should be.

How it started

Our Story

O'Flanagan Farm sits on a quiet stretch of land just outside Peninsula, Ohio — close enough to hear the Cuyahoga River and far enough from everything else to feel like the country still exists. We started small, the way most farms do: a few hives, a handful of hens, and a belief that the best food comes from people you know.

The bees came first. We fell in love with the work of beekeeping — the patience it demands, the seasons it teaches you to read, the raw honey that comes out unlike anything you'll find on a store shelf. Unfiltered, unheated, straight from the comb.

The hens followed. Our flock free-ranges on pasture year-round, scratching and foraging the way chickens are meant to. The eggs they lay have deep golden yolks and a richness that's hard to explain until you crack one open.

What we believe

How We Farm

No shortcuts

We don't heat or filter our honey. We don't confine our hens. What you get is exactly what the farm produces — nothing added, nothing taken away.

Sold direct

We sell at local markets, from our roadside stand, and by phone. No middlemen, no markups. You know where your food comes from because you know us.

Rooted in place

We're part of this valley. Our bees forage the wildflowers and clover of the Cuyahoga corridor. That terroir shows up in every jar.

Where we are

The Land

We're fortunate to farm in the shadow of Cuyahoga Valley National Park — one of the most ecologically rich stretches of northeast Ohio. The park's meadows, forests, and wetlands give our bees an extraordinary range of forage. The result is honey with depth and complexity that changes subtly from season to season.
